If the Palis had any brains they would simply allow Rice to interview the soldier. This would prove he was alive. As it is most of the people I have heard from think the soldiers are dead, hence there is no reason to negotiate. On the other hand if they are already dead, then any chance for a "Peace Process" died along with them. Let there be war and let it end when one side (read Islamists) is completely, utterly and totally defeated.
