I learned the art of deep breathing when our son was serving in Iraq. That, and prayer, carried me through the worst walk of my life. Sadly, I believe you are quite correct. It's only going to get worse. Terrorists can never be appeased and it's time for the world to accept that fact and face reality.
At least we aren't alone; we will get through this somehow and we'll just keep praying and being there for each other.
