Robertson:............. in all of that we didn't see any evidence of a military infrastructure or anything like that.

In fairness, who wants to inspect a building standing on only one leg?

I would rather the US Dems advocate stopping the Iranian Hitler's "speech".

Peretz: Israel will hold security zone until int'l force arrives

By The Associated Press

Defense Minister Amir Peretz said Tuesday that Israel will maintain a security zone in southern Lebanon until an international force arrives there.

Peretz did not say whether Israel Defense Forces soldiers would remain in Lebanon or would maintain the zone using air strikes and artillery fire.

Israel had initially been opposed to an international force in southern Lebanon, preferring that the Lebanese army secure the border, but in recent days it has said it would accept a force under NATO's command.

"There will be a security zone, which will be under the control of our forces if there is not a multinational force," he said. "If there is not a multinational force that will get in to control the fences, a multinational force with an enforcement capability, we will continue to control [Hezbollah] with our fire toward any one who will get close to the defined security zone."

However, Peretz said he was confident that a deal, favorable to Israel, would be reached to end the 14 days of fighting between Israel and the Hezbollah guerrillas in Lebanon.

"There will be an agreement that will bring about the distancing of Hezbollah from south Lebanon, the control of the border crossings between Syria and Lebanon, the prevention of the passage of new weapons," he said. "And of course that will bring about a multinational force with an enforcement capability, a force that will be capable of maintaining the agreement that will be signed."

I can't lsiten to the press conf right now...anything interesting? What is the PM of Iraq saying about Israel?

Did I miss something as well? I had it on, was doing other things, so I may have been distracted, but I'm stunned that I heard almost NOTHING about Israel and their right to defend their people. Nor was I happy with Malaki's answers, which were completely focused on Lebanon, and NO mention of Israel that I heard. In my mind, it was like the elephant in the room ... questions/responses seemed to dance around Israel. What's the deal .. did I miss it ?

Good grief....they're reprehensible, aren't they? Our media has no conscience whatsoever.

I didn't see it. We can get ABC, but things are on at odd hours and ever since I got Fox News on the TV in my living quarters, that's the only news channel I'll watch (even though Shep Smith can be a tad irritating.) I'm GLAD I didn't see it. I've gotten apoplectic too many times watching the CNN lies about Iraq (back when Iraq was in the news...LOL)

I haven't seen Syriana either, but the bootleg DVD is readily available here. Should I see it? I've been wondering. Will it make my blood boil?

First I've seen posted here. I've had only Fox on and they haven't covered this. I don't put any credence in yet another rumor on the trading floor. Happens all the time.

Like you...I am waiting for an after action report...

Do you mean OUR media did not ask about Israel? That shocks me because it would sure embarrass President Bush for them to make a HUGH deal about it...

SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) -- Crude-oil futures fell Tuesday, on track to log their first decline in three sessions, as traders gauged the likelihood that the 14-day conflict between Israel and Lebanon will spread to other parts of the region.

Prices fell as much as 1.8% during the session, pressured by speculation that Israeli soldiers captured by Hezbollah have been released, according to CNBC. The Israelis have denied the report, according to Phil Flynn, a senior analyst at Alaron trading.
"Prices will pop back up once the rumor is put to rest," said Kevin Kerr, editor of Global Resources Trader, a newsletter of MarketWatch.
