Sometime last year he more or less merged the group with Alan Keyes' Declaration Alliance

Amelia, I don't quite understand. I've never heard of a "more" or "less" merger? ;-) Or is the more and less situational? Are there any articles or newsreleases that document this merger?

I sure don't know why Simcox isn't forwarding these calls to the the DA. Unless of course the MCDC is simply a client of the DA, using their established fundraising, direct marketing and PR ability. Didn't I see pictures of Keyes at the border with Simcox?

Registered, I don't know if you'd call it a merger or not, but MCDC is now an affiliate of DA, according to press releases. This article talks about how MCDC is now "a project of the Declaration Alliance", which sounds to me as if the DA is now in control of MCDC.

The reason was supposed to be (according to the article) because DA had the established abilities to handle the fundraising, financial, and legal technicalities that a brand-new grassroots organization might have problems with...

But it doesn't sound as if DA has yet gotten tax-exempt status for MCDC, and they obviously either haven't gotten the finances straightened out or don't want to tell people what they are doing with the money.
