It is going to be interesting to see if it is started in August or if they will find a need to reschedule for some reason.

I can't keep all the excuses straight.

Once we were told that it took planning, and the materials had to be ordered, and they were waiting on them to arrive. (You pretty much shot that one down after questioning why they would order expensive materials without even knowing if the county would approve design, etc.)

However, many people were led to believe that Israeli style fence was being built... there just weren't pics of it yet.

Then there were pics of a ~cattle fence~

Then the heat was a factor, the fence building needs to be delayed until cooler weather.

More ~cattle fencing~ pictures.

Then they realized it was so complicated, they needed a professional contrator, so they hired a lawyer in Pennsylvania.

I might be confused, but I think this is the spot on the timeline that Simcox & supporters said it wouldn't be a real fence, and everyone knew that. It would be a symbol, and the cause would be promoted because of that... fence.

Now the heat factor excuse is no longer operative.
As of this morning, an excited landowner named Hodges believes an Israeli style fence will be built on his property, beginning in August, because that is what the MCDC told him.

The truly sad part is that the rabid Simcox supporters keep trying to convince us that all this is logical and Simcox is a victim. That isn't conservatism... that is Clintonian.

Now I'm just waiting for the Simcox group to tell us the fence will be built in August, but Chris never specified which year.
