No. They see "war" as a bad thing--gee, just like all human beings--but believe they are better than the average person because they proclaim this like it's a unique, GGandhi-like trait the rest of us don't have. The rest of us DO realize that in the reality we all live in wars happen. That we want a side (ours) to WIN these wars we get involved in means we "support" war. By not supporting ANY side in ANY war, they are above it all, in a rarefied atmosphere of Peace and Goodness, which means that just by not doing anything, even intellectually, they have gone from just regular people to folks who rank with Gandhi or Buddha or whoever (which is a religious practice without religion, if you get my meaning).

The reason they can do this is because they live in a society protected from destruction by the fear of violent retaliation. The US has not had to get involved in many wars because others are too scared to start with us--due to our military power. These liberals conveniently sidestep that fact and jump right to being anti-war, a position they could not take in a country that had no mighty military protecting its citizens.

They will never support the WOT because they know that whatever they do WE will support it, and in the process protect them without their having to ask for that protection.

Non-violence only works in certain cimcumstances. After all Ghandh himself was assassinated, and of course, so was King. It is not sticking flowers in guns, by the way. The Civil Rights marchers were, after all, revolutionaries, and while violence was kept to a minimum, the generall effect was to bred disrespect for the law. When the movement moved into the North, violence, per se, had more appeal to the dismoralized masses of the cities.
