Very interestingIndeed. Although why such a gathering would want to include "a wide spectrum" is beyond me. Does that mean Kohanim who don't believe 'Aharon ever actually lived will be speaking?

Someone named Cohen may or may not be Jewish. But someone named Katz is certainly descended from the priestly line since its a contraction of the original Hebrew title: kohane tzedek - "righteous priest." So a person with that name is a kohanim.

Does that mean Kohanim who don't believe 'Aharon ever actually lived will be speaking? There are a number of non-Jews and non-priestly Jews who also have this genetic profile, due to Kohanim who intermarried over the ages, or engaged in a "forbidden marriage" (a Kohen is not allowed to marry a convert or a divorcee). It is not definite proof that one is fit to serve in the Temple.
Also, my daughters married Jews who are not Kohanim but they have passed the DNA to their children who take the father's tribal identity.
