>>>I had on CNN for all of 5 minutes. Had to turn it off. It was basically an advertisement for joining the Hezzies. >>>
I was actually quite surprised the other night on Anderson Cooper when a British reporter was on there saying how Isreal was targeting civilian houses, infrastructures, etc...
Then the reporter said "Of course you have to understand that Hezbollah, much like the insurgents in Iraq, hide agents and weapons in the houses and I've seen the Isreali bombs hit ONE truck or ONE house and leave everything else standing. So it's not intentional if they hit the wrong target, they seem to be trying to ONLY target the homes that are hiding weapons."
Wow.
I also don't think Fox news has a problem with him doing it (or they tell him to do it), since if he glorifies a story or conflict, they think it builds tension, and helps generate and maintain ratings.
In other words, he's a glory hound and he'll do anything to pump a story up, so that he can make it draw, even when he doesn't need to.
MB also reporting that Laura Ingraham subbing for OP'Reilly last Friday was a try-out, and she aced it..so, could we dare hope..Laura for Shep???
I totally agree. He takes the cheap shots and it drives me crazy.
In addition, he has morphed from a reporter to a military planner in one short week. Wow! I love it when reporters become the story instead of reporting the story.
Shep should stick to funny animal stories.
Here Here!!!!!!
Hey, Shep, how is it - EXACTLY - that Israel is supposed to get rid of a bunch of people who are dug into 40-meter deep shelters, or hidden amongst the population of Lebanon, who are shooting literally thousands of rockets into northern Israel? What, wish them away? OF BLOODY COURSE the IDF has to enter Lebanon - but entry into a territory to destroy a hostile force isn't occupation. If the IDF cleared out Hezbollah and then said, "Oh, by the way, we're staying for a couple of generations" then THAT would be an occupation (and probably a justified one, but that's another matter).
I used to have more respect for him, but now I merely cringe every time he sticks the mic in front of his face.
Gotta love that.
Shep is supposedly a news reporter as well as an anchor. Like a Dan Rather going into the field to report. If that was the position they're considering for Laura, seems odd to try her out on the Factor. But what do I know? (Don't answer that!)
Shep needs to consider submitting an application to fill the vacancy at "The View". His brand of tear shedding and hand wringing would fit in completely. BaBa WaWa could wind him up, sit him down at the coffee table and let him unwind until the end of the show.
too funny! I never saw that one.
Well then settle it. Is Shepard Smith a homosexual?
I'm a lonesome polecat
A man cain't sleep
When he sleeps with sheep
lets replace him with a drone!!!
I flip back and forth between CNN and FNC. CNN for their professionalism and FNC for their more balanced reporting. I heard my husband yelling the other morning and ran into the bedroom. He was sputtering angry. He was watching a CNN reporter in a fox-hole-type environment saying that "we" have to get Israel to stop hurting these people. Complete and total lack of any sort of objectivity. This is the man who told me after we got married that I was crazy to think there was any bias in the media.
I heard Shep say this, and much worse. He's the only fox person over there that bugs me (Notice I didn't call him a reporter... he isn't).
