>>Kristin DeJournett, cruelty caseworker for the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, said allowing the fish to suffocate from lack of water constitutes a violation of the Illinois Humane Care for Animals Act, which states, "No person or owner may beat, cruelly treat, torment, starve, overwork or otherwise abuse any animal."<<
you know.... insects are animals.... that's a pretty darn broad law.

I agree with PETA...what a terrible waste of about a week's worth of fish dinners!

I think Kristin should feed them Guinea Worms...just don't let them loose where they can get to others not associated with PETA.

"PETA asks prosecutor to study fish deaths"
Result from Study:
It has been detrmined that the deaths of these fish were the result of excessive egg wash, seasoned breading and deep frying.

President Carter has spent much of the last 20 years trying to kill as many Guinea worms as possible -he should probably stay out of illinois, he might get arrested.

Hmmmm...There's something fishy about Kristin DeJournett. I think she's a pisces, probably working for scale.
