They should lock up the people who think this show has any basis in reality. It is so thoroughly scripted it's ludicrous. And still people (loose term there) discuss it as though it were really happening spontaneously.
Having said all that, I hope this guy serves as long a sentence as possible.
Yeah in season two when Mike took a header in the fire and he burnt his hands so bad the skin come off his fingers, I turned to my wife and said: "Wow they can get these guys to do anything for ratings."
