ISNA news agency - 24 July 06 - The grand Ayatollah Fazel-Lankarani has said: Currently, the entire Muslim world is facing blasphemy, and the resistance by Hezbollah forces serve as a reminder of the resistance of Imam Ali (the first Shi'i imam) against Amr Ibn Abdud.
According to ISNA's religious correspondent, the grand Ayatollah Fazel-Lankerani made the remark in a speech to seminarians from all over the country who are taking part in a Koranic camp in Qom.
Criticizing the silence of Islamic governments and forums in the face of the Zionist atrocities against the people of Lebanon, he said: It is clear that these operations were masterminded by America, with the consent of disinterested states.
Stressing that in view of today's sensitive circumstance, the Islamic world's ulema and people must be vigilant, the grand ayatollah called on all Muslims to assist the Hezbollah and defenceless Lebanese people in any way they can.
