You know, it's the mother *saying she was only five feet away, & I doubt any security tapes will be made public.
Another fact in this story is that there was also a 5 yr. old sister, so where was she ??
I have raised a 3 & 5 yr. old (at the same time) & there is no way you can WATCH 2 small kids & shop @ the same time, unless you have these kids in the cart/ or holding on to it.
I truly feel sorry for this family, but as I've stated earlier, seems now days I see many children running wild in stores, unsupervised......or toddlers left with a slightly older child left "in charge". (no parents in sight)

You don't know so you jump to a conclusion. What an excellent way to feel superior and heap blame on someone who has just lost a three year old child.
Do you actually imagine you are the only one on FR who has raised children and that you are in a position to condemn anyone because you didn't have a child crushed by a falling mirror in a Wal-Mart store?
