Bin Laden was the schoolboy, and Mughniyeh the teacher.
Al Qaeda's early attacks were near failures. During Bin Laden's stay in Sudan, Al Qaeda terrorists were trained by Hezbollah under Mughniyeh, in building bombs.
You can still see Al Qaeda copying Mughniyeh's trademark, multiple simultaeaus attacks, which Mughniyeh first implemented when bombing the US Marine barracks in Beirut, along with another target, either the French Embassy or French positions somewhere in Beirut.
Okay....I saw mention of a book. Can you recommend one?
Thanks.
No wonder Ginsberg feels so strongly. Wish I could figure out how to pronounce Mughniyeh's name. Any idea?
