I'm just wondering if any candidates out there are paying attention to the audience numbers being raked in by popular vlogs (videos online) -- because if Hollywood executives are waking up to these numbers, then I expect candidates may soon do the same.

I'm thinking Election 2008 and the winner of the White House prize may well be the one who's parody of the other candidate gets the most hits on the internet.

I have a page on myspace, but I can honestly say, this is kind of like a fad.
Its a great communication tool, user friendly and everything, but the idea of it holding long term sway is far and away overated.
Politicans are slow to adapt, and myspace might not even be worth the time or effort to get involved with.

No, not getting involved with myspace; that's not what I meant (though some politicians are doing that already).
This article is about a guy who made a home-movie making fun of myspace and its audience. And, this little home movie made for nothing has gotten million of hits.
Well, when you're getting millions of hits online -- that could be millions of voters. So, I am just wondering: Is anyone out there paying attention? Like, any candidate seeking millions of votes? is there anyone like that??? :)

And, my own belief is this: You don't need to post it on youtube. You could post a cool movie here on FR on your homepage.
How many times does Pj Comix make fun of his favorite Dem site? I am just wondering when he's going to make a movie about that, and post it here on FR...and I am guessing someday FR will need to have a separate section just for FR movies/vlogs. Because politics is a always a subject ripe for parody.

You make a VERY interesting point. That's why I pinged Doug to this thread, since he is leading the video charge against Hillary! Clinton.

And, martin, certainly, you are a future politico movie-maker for FR! My goodness! How many funny graphic parodies have you made already? I lose track...

DING, DING, DING! We have a winner! The lighbulb has gone off! And, not surprisingly, it's FR's own Congressman Billybob who wins today's prize... congrats to you! :)

I have a myspace listing, but I forgot the password. I'm such an idiot. ;-)

BTW, think of all the publicity Stephen Colbert has gotten from his lame interviews with politicians. Why any politician would agree to sit down with him, when it's obvious the politician will only look like a shmuck when it's over, I don't know. A smart politico would be making his own movies -- instead of being tossed around like a sinking ship on The Colbert Report.

ROTFLMAO...and, why exactly do you need a myspace listing, Dog? Not getting enough pings here? JUST KIDDING! :)
