“He's too good for presidential politics and too smart to run,” Malone said. “That's why we have to draft him.”

1. Too good for presidential politics? - - At the end of his time at Veep, (while the Rodham/Clintons were plunderig the White House of furniture and silverware) Mister Gore decided to steal the bust of Abraham Lincoln from the Veep residence. Of all things to steal, he chooses an historical and famous likeness of the national symbol of honesty and also the Republican party. Clever guy, that Al.

2. Too smart to run? Well, despite poor acting performances to the contrary, he's running, and even the village idiots know it. On the topic of Mister Gore's intelligence, flunking (or quitting in advance of flunking) out of law and divinity schools speaks to the man's intellectual capacity. He's not smart enough to realize he's not smart enough to be a good president; and, that's disquieting.

He's also not smart enough to know that Hillary will (figuratively) cut him off at the knees in the Dem primaries.

Pity, I'd love to run a Republican against Honest Al.
