Just for the sake of history,
I am predicting today
that Tiger Woods will be elected Presdient of the US of A someday.

With all the police there why did they not shoot the SOBs?

With all the police there why did they not shoot the SOBs? This is the "British" Open. They'd have to find a local U.S. Airbase and borrow some guns.

The protester(s) threw the purple paint
in what looked like eploding tennis
balls onto the 18th hole. The cameras
around that area HAD to have seen who
threw it. And it was thrown between
the time Els and DeMarco were walking
up to register their score cards and
the time Sergio and Tiger were hitting
their 2nd shots at the 18th. I was
watching, and that paint was NOT
a factor in the putting of Els and
DeMarco.
I doubt the idiot(s) escaped those
cameras...they were everywhere!

I thought the only thing left on the green was Sergio's lunch ...

To ABC's and Mike Tirico's credit, they gave no camera time to the protest and made no mention of who might have been responsible.

Too much sax and violets on TV anymore.

That is a gorgeous instrument. I haven't seen one like it before.

"Fathers for justice" a group advocating equal rights for men in child custody cases has thrown purple paint/ powder before. (including at Blair in the House of Commons) it's probably them at it again
(also, they kind of enjoy dressing as superheros and climbing public buildings)

I saw Deep Purple in concert in '73. Great show. At the time you couldn't go anywhere or listen to any radio without hearing "Smoke on the Water".
