I suspect you get exactly the type of woman you deserve...
2006 marriage report
I'm my husband's first wife.
I "ballooned up" to just over 180 last year, the year we got married.
I'm halfway to my weight loss goal, and am thanking God that my husband isn't embarrassed to go out in public with me.
You and me both, sister.
(Wonder how long it'll be before someone comes along to tell us we're unfulfilled and will never know the joy of motherhood.)
Sounds like you need to think about the kind of woman you date.
I know plenty of single women, all of whom have self-respect and dignity, and not one of them wants to be "kept."
Just scroll up!
That is not to say that our behavior/causational observations are completely invalid, just that they are not necessarily the biggest contributer to declining parenthood (according to empirical medical evidence).
Mine probably lies. When I bring my weight up he says he wants me to lose for health reasons but sees me just like I was 36 years ago when we got married:') Sometimes though, (not in your and my case )a man that nags and belittles a woman for being overweight just lowers her self esteem and makes things worse because they turn to their comfort foods.
We were working up to it. It comes just after ectopic pregnancies and just before oozing sores. Patience...
....sorry Alice,I hate to tell you, but it's NEVER over!
Once a parent always a parent, the problems are just different.
You can be a mother without having children. God uses his best for his most needy sometimes, I think(adoptions/fosters/steps)
As I mentioned earlier, I support a person's right not to have children but not to say I didn't miss anything because I didn't, because you don't know. Just like I don't know if I missed out on stuff by being single. I'm happy with my choices though and that's about all any of us can ask.
My comment was referenced to the "stupid teenage years". My 21 year old is now showing signs of maturity and my 19 year old is thinking about the future! Hey, we're on a roll here! :)
Naw, look around, you'll see oozing sores everywhere.
Nah. We take very good care of our seniors that are in nursing homes. We try heal the sores they come in with.
Let's see, the only thing I see ALL of those relationships have in common is.... well, you. :)
That was shown to be a parody piece a long time ago. You did get the e-mail on that, right? ;-D
I gotta get me one of those 1955 wives...
Why is it so important to you that Hildy feel bad about her decision? :)
