Are you so unread that you were not aware that the Gregorian calendar is the international civil standard? Then shame on you. Aw, gee, is that what they celebrate every year down in Chinatown? Or is that what the Vietnamese celebrate at Tet?
Or are you hoist on your own petard?

Ah, but the international standard calendar is still the the Gregorian calendar. Is this concept too hard for you to grasp or are you going to continue to claim to be intellectually superior to everyone else while being wrong?
The INTERNATIONAL STANDARD CALENDAR is the GREGORIAN CALENDAR. Full stop. The other major calendars have only cultural or religious significance at this point.
As Lincoln said, it's better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak up and remove all doubt.
"Or are you hoist on your own petard?"
The proper expression would be "hoist BY your own petard" or "hoist WITH your own petard", since that means "blown up by your own bomb." One isn't blown up ON their own grenade, but by that device or with that device.
