Where did you see that? I read the source article and did not see it.
What I read was this: ...a powerful type of handgun that has been responsible for more than two-thirds of police officer deaths since 1994...
This statement is what I call a true lie, i.e., it is technically accurate, but carefully crafted to make you think it says something other than what it actually says.
In all probability, two-thirds of police officers killed in the line of duty are killed with a semi-automatic handgun (ten to fifteen per cent of the time with their own duty arm), which is all the statement actually says. You are led to believe, however, that the FN 5.7 is what they are talking about.
The gun-grabbers are clever, and not above lying outright, but will often cover themselves with a clever, but purposefully misleading, statement like the one in this article.
Watch out for these true lies.

You must have missed it. It's in the source article when I look. Of course the reporter failed to check on such an outrageous claim as it supports his beliefs/agenda.
Cut and pasted from the article above.
