You nailed it. Yes, Pat has a Jew problem. I no longer pay him any attention, at least on this topic.

I had a conversation with a guy at the office. He is religious. As it happens, he is African-American and votes Democrat. I mentioned the Catholic view on one topic and he said something like - "Oh, I don't listen to those Catholics." I was surprised. All the more so in that I've never heard him condemn atheistic communism. If anything, he may be sympathetic to communists.

The point of this story, in the context of Pat and Joe, is that some people define religion too narrowly. If others are, theologically speaking, one inch away, they reject them. Oddly enough, people who are theologically ten feet away, or a mile away, may be all right. To me, it is irrational.

However it might make an odd sort of sense. Those who are truly different might be converted. Those who are similar are competitors. Sometimes sibling rivalry is the fiercest kind.

If Buchanan was a raging anti-Semite and Israel hater, don't you think his articles would have been banned from FR?

A fellow named Adolph had ideas similar to Pat. I'm certain Adolph would approve of Hezbollah. It seems politics is a circle, the extreme right and the extreme left are not so far apart.
