I think you are right about Buchanan having too narrow a conception on religion. But I am also beginning to think that he really is anti-Semitic. I used to like Buchanan. I even voted for him in the primaries in 1992. But he's really changed. It's a shame.

Probably so.

I think some on the far far "right" have linked Jews with liberalism in this country, and some have linked Jews to communism abroad. I think these views are fundamentally mistaken - even though some factual support can be found. Jews have the same split as do Christians. Consider for example Marx, atheist Jew, and Engels, atheist Christian (or atheist ex-Christian). Western civilization has lurched to the left from the French revolution on.
