And, in some diseases such as pancreatic cancer, which my father died of when I was 16, NOTHING will work.
Not chemotherapy. Not radiation therapy. Not surgery. NOTHING!
Yes, chemotherapy is worse than a tequila hangover on a ship riding out a hurricane and, in some cases, as in pancreatic cancer, it is totally worthless.
But, if you have Hodgkin's disease, putting up with the tequila hangover on a ship in riding out a hurricane and puking your guts out means the difference between life and death and, in over 90% of of the cases, the final outcome will be life instead of death.
If only my Dad had Hodgkin's disease instead of pancreatic cancer.
Yes, of course, there are many cancers for which there are no cures...
I know that pancreatic cancer is a bad one...a friend of my husband had pancreatic cancer and had chemo, but it really did no good...he went down to clinic in Mexico, for some nutritional treatments along with some other stuff, but nothing worked, and shortly after returning from Mexico he died...
Just recently another friends wife, was diagnosed with esophageal cancer, and she died rather quickly, and there was no chemo given because they docs said it would not help...then this week my husband visited another friend who is in the hospital now with esophageal cancer, and my husband went to visit him, and his wife says that there is no treatment, he is just in the hospital to have palliative care, until he dies...so this esophageal cancer is also another cancer, which seems to have no real true cure...
Some cancers dont respond at all, no matter what the doctors do...other cancers seem to have remarkable cure rates....
