Why are you discussing this with people angry about a movie that hasn't even been filmed yet? My guess is that it will be shot little differently than the rape scene in "Bastard Out of Carolina", which this movie seems to be ripping off.

The fallacy the depicting something is a de facto endorsement of it seems to die hard. I think it's a theological paradigm that sees Film as an implicit form of Idol Worship. That's the only context by which it makes sense.

Why are you discussing this with people angry about a movie that hasn't even been filmed yet? Actually, according to reports on the film I read at imdb.com, prinicpal photography is supposed to wrap today, with the relevant scenes already been shot.
