I do beleive it's more for the pleasure of the director than the viewing public. Maybe he has some hidden desire to watch little girl be abused and naked.

A pic like that makes it that much tougher to explain(argue) the point to your little girl why she can't have that outfit.

Yes, I read that. I was referring to her as a person, though, not as a filmmaker.

Remember Victor Salva? He was convicted years ago of having a boy he was directing in one of his films perform oral sex on him in front of a video camera.

Since his release from prison, Salva has written and directed three films (Powder and the Jeepers Creepers films--produced by Francis Ford Coppola).

And of course, everyone knows what Roman Polanski did.

So I have to wonder what kind of sick pervert Kampmeier is.

"Jodie Foster had a similar role in "Taxi Driver" to the one Fanning is about to play."

Yep, you're right on the money....

Dakota Fanning born Feb. 23, 1994 = 12 years old in 2006

Jodie Foster born Nov. 19, 1962 = 12 years old (when "Taxi Driver" was filmed, Summer 1975).

Foster was a much more mature 12 year old, though.

Screen capture from "Taxi Driver":

Why are you discussing this with people angry about a movie that hasn't even been filmed yet?

Actually, according to reports on the film I read at imdb.com, prinicpal photography is supposed to wrap today, with the relevant scenes already been shot.

I liked Jodie Foster in Contact. I don't believe I've seen Brooke Shields in anything lately. I think she had a TV show, but I can't recall.

I have several friends who are parents of "working kids." The kids seem to be growing up fine.

"Where are this child's parents?"

At the bank.

Here's the previous work-product of the director of "Hounddog":
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0368411/

Looks like this director has a thing about under-age-of-consent sex.

Hmmm...Robin Wright Penn (wife of Sean) is in both films.

In War Of The Worlds she was at her insufferable best.

I haven't see the newer "War of the Worlds" because it's got that Tom Cruise guy in it.

Foster was a much more mature 12 year old, though.

Well, John Hinkley certainly thought so.

You mean like Hollywood or Blockbuster? They would not carry the film due to its subject matter. You should try independent stores.

"The two taboos in Hollywood are child abuse and the killing of animals."

Child abuse is not a taboo. Sexually exploiting 12 year olds is.

I found it and watched some of it because of things I had heard about the film and audience reaction. I may indeed watch the rest of it one day, complete with the coprophagia scene, it's just that I am no hurry to at the moment.

Hollyweird has done this before---

Scorsese's Taxi Driver - Jodie Foster
Brooke Shields in Louis Malle’s PRETTY BABY.
Jenna Malone plays a victim of child sexual abuse in the disturbing Ba**ard out of Carolina
Then there was the awful thing that Jeremy Irons did in the remake of Lolita---twisted interpretation of the original novel. Directed by Adrian Lyne
