Excellent suggestion.
I started and then I forgot to begin again.. I must catch up this week! Thanks for the reminder!
We met Rammer(boy, what a guy!), Billie gave me a yellow rose, Lady X, our favorite lady marine, made some wonderful & playful posts (RIP our dear, dear lady), I met colonial warrior for first time, oesy posted a slew of gorgeous pix, darksheare showed up to protect all the "old women", Dutchess & aqua shared about their biking accidents - I did too...,Rammer & Aqua flirted, Rammer flirted with Darky, until he found out he was a guy... one of the detractors has been banned (she wasn't very nice),
another tour de France is almost complete. Lance & Sheryl Crow have gone separate ways, Lance spends A LOT of time with his children & with his foundation. He is part owner of the racing team he starred in last year... he was at the TdF to cheer them on.
Some things change... some things never do.
I am grateful for my FRiends here at the Finest & at FRee Republic!
So, I'm right back to sending pics to Mama_Bear or Amy to post for me. Drat.
Billie, you can have the large picture removed. I thought I had learned something, but apparently I have not. Back to the drawing board.
I store my pics on Photobucket - anything over one Meg gets resized automatically.
I didn't know that.. nice plan!

Hi Meg - how are you doing today?
My problem, Dolly, is that I don't understand a lot of the language. I will see if son can help me to resize them. I pay for storage space with my Charter cable. It may have an automatic resize somewhere. I'll have him check it. Thanks for the offer.
I've got about 8 different photo programs, and discovered that the ACDSee program removes all the mega data and then I re-size the pic from 1200 x 900 to 350 x 211 (see below). Next I transfer the pics to Photobucket for display on a thread.
This photo taken on Independance Day started out at 451.8K, when ACDSee reduced it along with the cropping and re-sizing, I ended up with 23.5K bytes - much friendlier for dial-up.
Here, Logan is teaching Poppy how to "jump" on the trampoline and then land "on your booty." This "adventure" required a follow-up dose of flexeril and Naprosyn and a visit from my long-time friend Ben Gay.
"LOL! I'm with you."
;OD
"Love the little girls dressed in red!"
Thank ya kindly!
& I love the flower dressed/created in red!
Dave, Just read amy's post on the FResno thread. You were there!!!
do you take your pups? grandkids?
Pix???
.
I have been on a plateau of sorts for almost a year Nan.. really haven't learned any new skills & it seems not enough time to work on the ones I already have to refine.
It is for sure a steep learning curve.
Apropo lesson from today's devotional.
Yep! Short 90 mile drive down US 99.
do you take your pups? grandkids?
No, made the trip alone - Well not quite alone. Sean Hannity and Lee Greenwood rode along with me and provided entertainment. Cranked up the volume when Greenwood sang "God Bless the USA" at the Freedom Rally in New Jersey.
Pix???
No pix - forgot to take the camera.
It was a GREAT rally. Little warm (110 degrees) but not bad for a couple of hours considering our nephew in Iraq experiences 110 as the coolest part of the day. We got to go home after that time in the heat, guzzle down an MGD and relax. He and his men and women won't be home til November. He was just home for 30 days leave and returned to Iraq last week.
At the rally, a Rabbi was blowing a shofar at the passing cars. Met a lot of great like-minded folks supporting Israel.
When I was in high school choir, we sang "He Watching Over Israel" and that song came to mind as the rabbi blew that ram's horn.
He promised to watch over Israel. Israel is in safe hands.
Shalom
Sounds like you had a great day, Diver.
Oh my aching bones..LOL!
I may freepmail you some questions about ACDSee when I get back to my daughter's..I have that on my other computer..I did not know it could remove all the data. I still manage to resize most to below 70,000 pixels or bytes. My first tries ended up as postage stamps..LOL
Thank you for attending the rally..Prayers for Israel.
