What I don't understand is why you people seem so involved in this subject but don't seem to know what is actually going on. We found out that the INS was an out-of-date sham after 9-11. Remember they issed a visa for Mohammed Atta to attend flight school weeks afterwards? So Congress passed Homeland Security and they have been working to strengthen and update this area which has many different facets.

For instance, entry to the country is much tighter in response to question if anyone will check the people from Lebanon. Yes, and they will photograph and fingerprint them, too, before they are even allowed to board a plane to the US.

If you Johnny one notes won't pay attention, and always want to beat the same drum irregardless of what anyone does to address your concern, then there is really no point in ever doing anything. That is what you are teaching the politicians.

You have seized on what the administration considered the lowest priority (non-criminal, non-terrorist illegal workers) and even as they work on that you carry a blunt big club of stubborn cynicism. Frankly, you make these threads miserable for the rest of us.

And what about the millions who cross into this country without ever seeing a border post let alone get fingerprinted?

As usual, the pseudointellectuals pretend to be rational as long as they can ignore the problem.

LOL........here's you a *few statistic's on your "non-criminal" illegal workers......& this *only covers three crimes......

Check out the following to see who is the bigger threat to American Citizens today, terrorists or illegals. Feel free to share it.

Over 19,000 Americans have died a violent death at the hands of murderous illegal aliens since 9/11 (12 a day).*

Over 20,000 Americans have died at the hands of uninsured drunk driving illegal aliens since 9/11 (13 a day).*

Over 13,000 American children are the victim of a sex crime at the hands of illegal aliens since 9/11 (8 a day).*

Less than 7,000 Americans have died on 9/11 and after due to terrorism, including those who died fighting terrorists in Iraq and Afghanistan.

What is the bigger threat to Americans today, terrorist thugs or illegal aliens?

...entry to the country is much tighter in response to question if anyone will check the people from Lebanon. Yes, and they will photograph and fingerprint them, too, before they are even allowed to board a plane to the US.

And that stops terrorists from walking over our Southern borders how? Are they stopping at border checkpoints? No, they're walking on in, carrying whatever they wish, unchecked. Some have been arrested at the border of Mexico (US side), and evidence exists that many have gotten through. You say we're Johnny one-note? Wrong. But this is 1 of the isues that we've been yelling/screaming/pleading be addressed by the Government for years, and they've chosen to ignore it. If a car bomb goes off in your town, and they trace the terrorist back to having walked over the open border, will you ask why Johnny One Note's pleadings were ignored?

Remember they issed a visa for Mohammed Atta to attend flight school weeks afterwards?

Please go back and do some research.

First, INS does not issue visas.

Second, Atta's 'change of status' was approved by INS before 9/11.

Third, the 'change of status' letter was sent six months late, due to a back log with the contractor.

All of this is well documented on FR.

To bad what they have been working on for the past 5 years, isn't working.
