Yes, indeed. Take care of yourself too MO. I too, along w/my sisters, went through this for quite a few years. First, mom deteriorating and needing in-house help, then live-in help, then finally she needed so much constant and medical attention that we got her into a nursing home. Things will quiet down some for you now, and your mom will have round-the-clock care, including on-site medical care. It's the best thing to happen for your mom right now. Make sure to check into any options that may exist to help with the nursing home payments. Some states have programs that help, and also check into tax right-offs that you can take come tax time. Make sure to look into this. Most states, on the county level, have nursing home ombudsmen that can be a source of information on what options are available to ease the cost of nursing home expenses.
