Hi Peach - Just read your note on Thune. IF he did not say this - the reporter took something waaaaaaaaaay out of context. I was "deeply saddened" when I first heard of it and had to console myself with the fact that at least little Tommy was gone. Being as I sent some hard-earned $$ to Thune campaign as did some other FReepers - I felt we had been kicked to the curb along with the President. Please ping me if you hear anymore on this.

If it's true and he's not just backtracking, it confirms that politicians should carry tape recorders with them when they speak with reporters and make sure that every word is captured on tape.
