Jennifer is getting a lot of wrong news. It is the Israeli cabinet that decide the war not the Parliament. It never happened before in history of Israel that they debated any war in the Parliament before it started, this will not be different.

The rumors of an impending invasion are probably accurate. This is information on a Flyertalk.com thread from Yi'ron, on the northern Israeli border near Avivim, directly across the border from the apparent Hizbollah stronghold of Maroun Ras:

I thought twice before posting this as it has not yet been announced on the news, but I figured that if I can sit in my house and know it, Hizbollah knows it as well.

There has been a tremendous amount of fire in the past hour. This is not, however, the kind of shooting that we have been hearing for the past few days.

For one thing, there has been no incoming fire. For another, the pattern of the firing is more disciplined and more constant.

This is not the shooting of a battle. This is the clearing of a battlefield for a ground invasion.

BEYFlyer, I think the past week will feel like a picnic compared to what is about to happen.

BEYFlyer is another Flyertalk.com poster in Beirut. The time was 2:56PM (Mountain, I think - 11:56PM in Israel, if I can add).
