Lieberman vs Lamont Senate race Dem. Primary 8-8-06
www.Joe for senate.com | 8-20-06 | mojo114

Joe Lieberman has been the Senator in CT. since 1988. The Democrat primary in Connecticut is August 8, 2006. His opponent is Ned Lamont, a Greenwich, CT Republican turned democrat when Joe went with Bush on the war. Lamont is a single issue candidate, the Bush war(no matter where the war is.) Lamont has alot of money behind him especially his own and the Hollywood stars, Soros, moveon.org. etc.

Connecticut Senate race has become a topic of interest with the MSM. As a CT resident I don't see all the excitement. MSM wants to make this race a bellweather for the far left liberals to get elected throughout the U.S.

Listening to the radio here in NY they did a poll that showed Lieberman was 8% behind Lamont in the primary when likely voters were polled...

In a three way state race where Lieberman ran as an independent he beat Lamont by 6%....

the anti-war stuff is not as big an issue as the criminal liberal media wants everyone to believe....

It isn't the MSM as much as the "nutroots" leftists on the Internet. This objective number one for Daily Kos.

What a Lamont victory would actually do is, once and for all, define the Demcoratic Party as the far left, anti-defense, anti-war, unpatriotic bunch of kooks most of us have known them to be for years.

A Lamont victory will be good for the GOP.

The republican that is running is Alan Schlesinger 2006.com. The poll you are talking about is the Quinnipiac poll. Pretty much broken apart by WTIC radio local radio host Jim Vicevich. Remember that his poll was done by likely Democrat voters for the Democrat primary that is August 8th.

Don't think so, too much money support from moveon, and Soros. I think they vetted this guy pretty good.

Quite frankly I do not like Lieberman, especially when he ran for vice president. However he is better than Lamont who is getting alot of money from the Soros crowd. I don't know anything about Schlesinger.

LIEberman will NEVER vote like a GOPer/with the GOP, except on matters pertaining to the WOT. Lamont won't even do that much.

Help him? Well, right now he is one of the good guys, and I know someone who once worked with the present Repub candidate running against Lieberman, and from what I was told, the R is a putz, totally.

Hey, I'll support Joe in the general election. He's reasonably moderate despite being a Dem. Lamont has helter-skelter eyes...and I get a huge kick out of his commercials with poor people (ostensibly) from Bridgeport and New Haven supporting this Greenwich millionaire. He's running on one issue, knowing it's where he can hit Joe the hardest with CT libs.

Joe strikes me as a genuine person who sticks to his guns even when his own party is trying to run him out on a rail. I do not agree with all of his positions, but at least he doesn't flip flop.

Schlesinger doesn't impress me in the slightest. There was an article in the Courant today about how he was sued by casinos in Atlantic City because he didn't want to pay gambling debts that he racked up in the early 90s. When the flap over the fake ID casino card came out, he denied those lawsuits, and only admitted to them when presented with docket numbers! The state GOP wants him to step down and he's refusing. What a putz.

BUMP. On Friday 7-21-06 it seems the Republican challenger to the Democrats in the CT senator race has been hit with a charge of gambling. Looks like the the rats have their investigators out searching.
