"OH. HELL. NO.

The final intrusion. The government coming on your property and telling you you have to basically let them prod you."

While I agree with your sentiment, it's not quite that bad yet, there's no mention if you can opt out, but I'll bet there is. It's also not every resident, it's a sampling of the populace.

I'd be interested to see them *force* people to give blood and hair (dna) without being under arrest (samples for job applications are voluntary), and that would probably lead to the mother of all Supreme Court cases, to determine is we actually "own" our blood and DNA, and wether the Feds or anyone else can demand it, regardless of reasons for needing it.

I think such a case is needed, because it's going to have to be determined eventually. We have the right to tell yellow vested folks who show up at our doors and want blood and hair samples to pound sand, but the thing to watch for is when we lose that right, and that ball is still in play...I hope.

When it is, it's too late for peaceful resolution.

Yeah, but simply refusing to participate will probably flag you as a 'kook' to be watched for further signs of non-conformity and conservatism! You should see the looks I get when I politely decline to give out my phone number when making a purchase in a store! One clerk (early 20's) got all snotty on me and said 'Well, then I guess you don't want to get all our great coupons and deals,'. to which I said 'getting a few coupons is not worth having my cell phone number on a marketing list'. She still couldn't believe it. She started to ask me something else and then stopped and said 'oh, that's right, you don't want to give out your number' like it was my last chance to get in on a really good deal.

I agree. And it's a case that needs to/should be won, nip this crazy crap in the bud.
