Many people recommend, and I personally use: Real Alternative from KL Software.
No smackdown by Tony....I always look forward to that...
Reporter: Some congresscritter says things are worse in Iraq. Tony: we know there are attempts in and around Baghdad to make things worse. We disagree things are getting worse. option is not to run.
LMAO.....perfect!...and I notice the resemblance too!
Tony just completely disarmed Ed Henry from CNN by wishing him a happy birthday before Ed asked his question.
WHo let Al Franken in there?
And everyone has opted out of coverage. Tony is too effective for them to cover.
Yep, I just made the channel rounds and everyones off it, what a bummer.
Thanks for taking good notes, Liberty. My fingers aren't cooperating today to type quickly.
President will talk to Urban League and other civil rights groups. Understood that it is a group that has been critical. Plans to resubmit Bolton...it is still back up. He was renominated. Question is do you go back to Foreign Rel. committee or go to the floor. Wendell Goler: is Kofi wrong about steps? Tony: we want Israel to practice restraint and we have a couple of other goals to acheieve...integrity of Lebanese government and resolving the Palestining issue. We have a broader goal. More agreement in the region than how to proceed on the other problems. Wendell: int'l community should speak with 1 voice to stop the violence: Tony: au contraire...(in French). Sec. Annan wants the same thing we do an end to violence and the way to do that is for Hezbollah to stop it's thing. One party started it and that party has said it's willing to wage war and not stop. If Hezbollah returns soldiers and stops firing rockets then you have other goal.
Greggy yesterday, Helen today.
Did tony just say Oui, Oui?
oui, oui.
Right after saying au contraire. He stuttered on 'we' so went with the flow.
doin the best I can...; Question from unintelligible Indian guy about Pakistan...Tony will get answer. Muslim dictators speaking against terrorism? Tony: You have a number of leaders, Arab League has spoken against Hezbollah. Tony: President really believes there has been too much partisan acrimony with regard to civil rights. He wants every child to have access to a good education, that the road to employment oppty i8s open, and that there IS still some racial tension, not addressable by a gov't program but by private actions.
Yes. He first said, "au contraire" and then when someone commented, he added "oui, oui."
I missed who that was. I am trying to follow 3 threads. Mideast, Rush and Tony. I have Tony on CSPAN3 live and just follow by reading the other two.
I stay so far behind, but it is fun.
LOL
Oui, oui...LOL.... President interested in resolving lingering problems...unemployment, education, families splintered..things affecting all Americans but which affects minorities badly. Reporter: what's followup? Tony: you'll hear more. You have been seeing things. Education bill, things that affect all Americans affect minorities even more.
I actually got to stand in the Press Room at the Pentagon, 10 years ago. It was empty at the time, but it was cool to be in a place where history is made.
President has been walking the walk (on civil rights)...Voting Rights, NAALCP that speech "fell flat"...(reporter). Tony: first, take a look at economic data. You have seen growing income equality. Gap isn't widening any more. When you talk about things like school choice, they want school choice, another option. President may have not resonated with you or others, but he has resonated with lots of people because THEY wanted a better option. I would argue the President's policies have been pursuing it. Reporter: Black servicemen in Iraq...Tony: President had a pretty full plate and has talked about the servicemen. (Reporter just being snooty and hyping Cong. Lewis)...
I've never had that honor, but wish I could.
I did shake Dan Quayle's hand many years ago when he was first announced as Bush 41s running mate. Yeah, I know, not quite the same, but I did spend a nite at a Holiday Inn Express once.
:)
