This is outrageous. Just a scant 6 years ago, Joe was the VP nominee of the this party for crying out loud. Now he is being purged by stalinists.
The democrats have decided to give up the polical middle for the sake of the rights of terrorists.

I would never vote for Joe but I think the way his party is rejecting him really stinks. He has been a loyal Democrat office holder for decades, helped Al Gore almost get elected president, but now because he wants to defend America his party turns on him. Pretty low.
It is true that polls now show Lieberman would win big if he runs as an independent. But i agree with those who say the dynamics would change big time if Lamont wins the primary. Lieberman and his people would be dispirited. The Dems would be fractured. The shock waves of an incumbent senator being defeated in a primary would be a huge national story. So the Nov 7 race could be close too. Unfortunately the Republican, Alan Schlesinger, probably won't even be a factor.

Hendrick points out that one reason there is this action against Lieberman is lingering anger over the feeble speech on the Senate floor that Lieberman gave, eye lashing Clinton vigorously for lying to the nation and disgracing the office. So, the left is going to use the long knives on Joe for that?
