Republican Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger will receive some high-profile help raising cash Thursday as former President George H.W. Bush headlines fundraisers for him in Los Angeles and Silicon Valley.
The former president will be the "special guest" at both fetes, where a $100,000 platinum sponsorship entitles a donor to head-table seating for two, premiere seating for 10 and six photos with the governor and former president - "two people per photo."
"The governor is very much looking forward to welcoming former President Bush back to California," said Schwarzenegger campaign spokeswoman Katie Levinson, "and he's grateful for his support."
Democrat Phil Angelides, who hopes to deny the governor a second term, is bringing out his party's luminaries for fundraising help, too. Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton headlined a $1,000-a-head breakfast for Angelides this month, and former President Bill Clinton will star in an Aug. 1 dinner for the treasurer in Los Angeles.

Just like you, Murtha.
What service were you in, herr field marshal?
This is pretty dang close to disingenuous. This is a general election, further leftward is the candidate you seem to support, angelides. Was that Freudian that you capitalized 'Leftward'?
"The 'agent provocateurs' have gung-ho conservative/republican profiles and pontificate extreme and intolerant positions in the name of conservatism. They encourage and motivate the 5th column. When the stupid start contributing with the 5th column the 'agent provocateurs' will often bow out, offering holier than thou comments. 'Agent provocateurs' and the 5th column almost never attend freeper events. Occasionally they have, and their loose screws have been exposed. Together, this 5th column's role is to provide as much dissention as possible"
Besides the fact that I'm not a moderate...
Really? Could have fooled me. (Reference)
I'm consistant, you gotta admit. You are too, always trying to divide.
Save your breath and fingers, the (M)ilk only seek to provoke and get conservatives tossed off of FR, look at the wonderful things they've helped get done in the party the last couple state conventions.
They only seek to intimidate and couldn't debate an issue much less carry a cogent discussion of the issues at hand.
And in the end, no matter who wins, the only sure thing is we will be deeper in debt and the rate of spending will continue in double digits no matter which candidate wins.
The only real lesson of the Recall,, who needs a camel getting its nose under the tent when you can wheel a Trojan Horse in thru an open flap.
Neither candidate is worthy but we are stuck with them as well as the (M)ilk, for now... maybe next time, folks won't buy the hype, and at the rate things are unfolding , there will be a next time, and likely soon.
Are you insinuating another recall? I do believe the ilk herd will be on the forefront of this effort!
That's right, you didn't want a Recall , or did you?
so if angelides somehow pulls this out, you wouldn't support efforts to recall him somewhere down the road?
Correct and honest. I thought a recall would perturb the cycle and I was afraid it would be counterproductive. Seems I was right.
so now all you do is sit here and perturb others instead.. lolol Got it.
Since 2003, it's been a non-stop campaign of elections and special elections. The (M)ilk has tried to silence any dissent or criticism of any kind "because it might affect the election." And in the meantime, we get more spending, more liberal judges, more landgrabs and the like. There is a slew of legislation in process. If you expect everyone to remain silent about that between now and the end of September, you will be sorely disappointed.
Was that Freudian that you capitalized 'Leftward'?
Nah... I didn't want you to miss it. You seem to ignore the important parts. ;-)
And Normie moves toward deceit again. I honestly don't know what I would do in that hypothetical and my response was assuming a gubinator victory.
Watch out for little green men. They'll get you before any "agent provocateurs" at FR.
You seem to make a lot of assumptions, that says a lot , imo.
Unfortunately, any 'important information' you might have has been tainted by your disruption. Your 'important information' is simply twisted to divide republicans.
You say "If you expect everyone to remain silent about that between now and the end of September, you will be sorely disappointed." in regard to 'a slew of legislation', but the object of your vitriol is the gubinator. Express your discontent with the issues and you might have my agreement, but to use these to cost us votes simply exposes your game.
Wasn't that your goal, Normie? Take advantage of someone's misstep and use it to ridicule and divide? Its a very cheap debate technique.
As I said earlier; you protest too much.
works both ways , I'd say, some of you (M)ilk don't even know you stepped in anything, that's what makes it so fun.
Have a good one, the pillow beckoneth.
Goodnight. Me, too. Goodnight Chesty.
