The movement to de-legitimize Israel began back in the 1970's. It was part and parcel of the left wing activism of the times. For the last few years, there's been a concerted effort on the part of some people to equate Israel with South Africa. This is just the most recent manifestation of the effort to de-legitimize the Israeli nation.

Unexpected.I have a friend who is an insurance adjuster.Staunchly conservative,American to the core.He was called on to do damage assessments in San Fransicko. When he got back,he told me he loved the place!?He said it was beautiful and he was thinking of retiring there!!!Astounded at his pronouncement,I buzzed him with a zillion questions. What the..,why the,,etc. He said he loved the views etc.We are still friends, but he makes me wonder sometimes!

I saw 8 protestors on Sunset in West Hollywood about an hour ago, waiving Palestinian flags. I wished I had a brick of firecrackers - it would've been fun to watch them scurry like rats.
