What's interesting to me is how many people who call themselves conservatives are NOT delighted that their money is not going to be spent on this.

It seems that bashing the President is the highest good here, and that even political values are secondary to their hatred.

Very revealing picture of the malcontents.....

Congratulations to the President for doing the right thing for the innocent unborn.

I think the problem is that this has almost nothing to do with cutting spending -- the money will be diverted to other programs. And the amount of money PALES in comparison to the hundreds of billions of new socialist entitlements that have not been vetoed.

This was an ideological veto that had nothing to do with cutting funding, particularly since the amounts of money involved are paltry. That any funding might have been reduced is strictly coincidental.

I am quite okay with the idea of broad funding cuts, but to spin trivial, very narrow, and clearly ideological vetoes like this as "spending cuts" is an insult to the intelligence of anyone with two neurons to rub together.

Because they're NOT conservatives.  These are impostors who look for ANY reason to oppose President Bush, even if it means exposing themselves to their real motives.
