Rochester, N.Y.) A plane that took off from the Rochester International Airport was ordered to return shortly after take-off, because a bag belonging to a suspicious couple was on board.
An airport official said a couple trying to board the flight to Toronto had stolen passports and paid for their tickets in cash. One bag belonging to the couple was on the plane when it took off at about 11 a.m. Once it was determined the bag was on board, the plane returned to Rochester.
The small commuter plane has been surrounded by fire trucks and security personnel for much of the morning. No luggage is being removed until is checked by security. The nine passengers on board were escorted off the plane and allowed to board other flights.
According to ABC News, the couple is from Sri Lanka, and there is a considerable language barrier. They say the man may have said something about a suicide bomb. While in custody, the woman complained of chest pains, and said she needed something out of her bag. The plane was ordered to return as a precaution.
ABC News reports that government officials believe the couple had fake Canadian passports.
The couple is in custody. No charges had been filed early this afternoon.
The Department of Homeland Security is handling the investigation.
The witness said the plane involved is Air Canada Flight 7405.
Other flights were not affected.

What did the plane do wrong?
Maybe on the lines of a promise made yesterday by a certain lunatic.........something about "rejoicing".....
Could be a couple liberal NY wackjobs are attempting to supply their fellow terrorists in a Canadian cell with fertilizer nitrates or ammo.
