Controversial McKinney in tight race, facing possible runoff
ERRIN HAINESJul. 18, 2006
ATLANTA - Democratic firebrand Rep. Cynthia McKinney was in high spirits Tuesday night, dancing and playing a tambourine as election results showed her with a tight lead over a former DeKalb County Commissioner with roots in the heart of her core constitency.
With 80 percent of the precincts reporting, McKinney was leading with 47 percent of the vote to lawyer Hank Johnson's 45 percent. One of the candidates will need to get more than 50 percent of the vote to avoid a runoff on Aug. 8.
Tuesday's primary was the first time that McKinney faced voters since her scuffle with a Capitol Hill police officer in March.
At her campaign party, McKinney continued to flaunt her record of outspokenness on the Iraq war. She entered the auditorium with anti-war activist Cindy Sheehan...
But it might be that Ms. McKinney's celebration was a little premature.

McKinney, Johnson appear headed for runoff
By Travers Johnson | Tuesday, July 18, 2006, 08:58 PMAs election results poured in, U.S. Rep. Cynthia McKinney and Democratic challenger Henry C. Hank Johnson, Jr. appeared headed for a runoff in the 4th District race...
Of course a Democrat will win that gerrymandered seat anyway.
So I'm rooting for Ms. McKinney myself.
Any classicist (which rules me out) could supply the lowdown.
AAAAAAAAA!!!

Ever noticed that the Congresscritter could bite a wall?
Hugo Chavez says: "Jesus H. Christ, keep her away from me. I may be a bat-**** psychotic moonbat commie dictator, but I'm sane enough to stay the hell away from THAT. Can't she go bother Jesse Jackson some more?"
Jesse Jackson says: "Aw HELL no. She's your problem now. Try pawning her off on Al Franken or something."
Mahmoud Ahmadinejad says: "What about me? Am I not insane enough to have an affair with this hideous infidel?"
I see she still does her hair with a cherry bomb.
Do you have more pictures? LOL
So, how's that fast working out for ya, chubby-cheeks?
There's never been a dance that's so easy to do
It even makes you happy when you're feeling blue
So come on, come on--
Do the Locomotion with me!
The polling officials told the husband that he had already voted. The husband, irate at hearing this news, and being told that he could not vote, contacted McKinney headquarters and Team McKinney lawyers have been dispatched to the precinct.
Vote fraud alert FOR McKinney!
So, if the HUSBAND was told he had ALREADY voted, how OTHER VOTERS (for McKinney) had "already voted" (for McKinney) ... but had NOT shown up at the polls yet?
Should be "Medusa".
My eyes!! My eyes!!!
Goes to show the complete ignorance of so many people within the American electorate.
"Media Benjamin "
Is Perseus in the house???
