Back at ya! I left the state 3 1/2 years ago, shortly after the socialist takeover was completed (i.e. Hillary Clinton, the "lifelong Yankee fan" was elected). After growing up on eastern Long Island, I gradually saw the place turning into a "People's Paradise:" for public sector unions, and businesses that make their fortune from the bureaucracy.
Sounds like you had a similar situation in California, which has also gone politically insane.
Now, my senators are Judd Gregg and Sununu, and I don't have to throw up all time.... ;-)
