Based on this news it appears that you are not alone.
Hah!
Dung.
"PJ O'Rourke: "Giving money and power to a politician is like giving whiskey and car keys to a teenager."
This line will outlive civilization : )
Can you buy it online?
PJ is the man, in my book....
Oh well. Grab some popcorn and watch the fireworks.
I think the "core problem" is beyond their ability to control, and not really a "problem" at all. The world wide web and sites like this have taken the helium out of the pundits' balloons.
No longer do we have the Sulzbergers, the Dan Rathers, etc. When they post political commentary rather than news, they are immediately outed by right-thinking folks.
When I was a kid, news was supposed to be the 4 "W"s: who, what, where and when. The NYT and Rather expanded this to include "why." Fine for op-ed, but not on the front page.
Why would you waste your cash? All you'd have is the brand, which is now synonymous with treason.
You'd have to clean house in a great big way, and since they're liberal, they'd sue and never stop suing.
The NYT should simply die.
"No longer do we have the Sulzbergers, the Dan Rathers, etc"
Make that, no longer DEPENDENT on those slimes to give us the "news" thru their politically biased eyes.
Amen, brother!
Ping. (Good move: Kah-Lee-fornya to AZ).. I did the "left coast" version of the escape from liberal hell: NY to New Hampshire.
The day after I graduated from Boston College(76), I took the red eye special to Los Angeles. It was Reagan Country back then. Now it is lost, so I moved to Scottsdale, Az 4 months ago. Scottsdale must be 80% Republican. You go into a pub for a beer, and it is the liberals who have to bite their lip : )
I have many good memories of New Hampshire. The lakes, and mountains are incredible!
I would give my left eyeball to see that in Times Square !
We ought to start a collection!
I would be hard pressed to top yours, but yes, we should start a thread specifically to collect classy political humor!
I meant a collection of $'s to put it up in Times Square, or at least on a billboard.
That would take a fortune! I think the big sign is leased at 5 million per year. Rats, now I will have to look into it!
Thanx, I like NH too: "Live Free or Die" is the state motto, and on our license plates. (Libs like to buy license plate holders with a tab that covers the state motto.)
The taxes ain't bad either. No personal income tax, no sales tax.
And government services: no significant difference from NY, except there I was paying THOUSANDS more in combined property, sales, income taxes....
Sounds like you are a happy camper. Glad to hear it!
