And you accomplish this how with a solid majority of voters believing they are on the receiving end of the largess of their Congress Critters?

I recall reading the quote from one of the founding fathers, and I cannot remember the exact words, but to the effect that "Once the voters realize they can vote themselves a portion of the national treasury, our Republic will be dead!"

And so it is today -- but worse, since the government uses taxation as a weapon and tool of political convenience.

And that means it's time to change that back to a workable reality that helps almost everyone.

Time to work to change how we are taxed at the national level I would say. Change for a system that assures that everyone participates, even at the lowest economic rungs of the nation.

Problem with every income tax offered flat tax or otherwise half the electorate ends up not participating, many acutally totally of the tax rolls.

Certainly is a guaranteed way to assure the incumbant wins the prize as long as he delivers more goodies.
