The half of the electorate that pays little or nothing and clambers for ever more government.

Yes, we call them liberal Democrats. It is tragic that so many see the government as some form of provider, and think that somehow the people are going to get more out of the government than they pay in -- well, for some, that is true. A sick perspective, really.
Yes, we call them liberal Democrats.
And not a few repubs on the gravy train looking at the current Congress' spending habits.
Sorry to say the problem is not a Repub vs Democrap one. The problem is generic to staying in office by buying votes and pandering to the voter.
The system is designed to promote incumbancy and pander to the lowest common denominator. On the belief that he who delivers the goodies for the least tax on a voting constituent gets the most votes.
Guess where the votes are, it sure isn't with the few paying the top end tax rates.
"As a matter of fact, what the income tax does and this is the debate that I think we always try to get into in order to let you and him fight, see and the people of this country are led down a path where the actual control of their resources, which in the end is the control over their will, is handed off to the government." . . . "The government then manipulates that will in order to destroy the freedom of our electoral system through the income tax structure, and we call the resulting slavery a free system." "In point of fact, it is not as the founders understood, and the only way to restore real freedom is to give people back control over the income that they earn so that they wont, at the voting booth and in other phony issues, be subject to that manipulation." |
It's time for the FairTax!!!
