Can you point me to that information? I have only seen the hospitality industry try to force this, when state bans are forced on them by health groups. Marriott stated this was their decision, just as Westin did. Considering that there are still thousands of hotels not choosing this blanket policy, it's obviously a private business decision. According to you, by Marriott trying to force it on others, they must not really feel it's a good decision. Social engineering can be hazardous to a business, unless everyone plays. Most hotels are smart enough not to interfere in peoples private conduct. Especially with what they charge. Unless, they want to go out of business.
