That doesn't seem right. There were a couple in Australia alone,

I was afraid of that. On another page, a chart that was less clear, the number was 400 and something. That didn't seem right either, too high.

I actually thought about your theory that ancient man messed around and created flies etc, tomzz. Why would God create, through evolution or hocus pocus, such? Flies was easy to figure out. If it weren't for maggots we would probably be up to our knees in dead animal corpses taking forever to decompose and rot away.

Only reason I could think for mosquitos existing, is to give frogs and bats something to eat. I think some birds eat ticks and the lice that chimps and gorillas pick off each other may give them a bit of protein. Grooming also helps strengthen bonds within the group.

Why do you creationists always limit God? You don't understand why He did this or that, or don't understand how nature works, ergo He must not have done it, and certainly didn't do it through evolution because I'm *the CrIDers* not smart enough to understand the hows and whys.

Goddidit and that's that. errrm except for some kinds of insects, then Goddidn'tdiddit. (crackpot CRIDer mode)

Actually 4 fatal shark attacks in 2005 is the correct figure

1 in the United States, 1 in Vanuatu, 2 in Australia (We're number one, yay us)
