"Evolution is NOT a capitalistic system else evolution could stand on its own and would not need GOVERNMENT to make it the law of the land and demand we the people fund it. It is socialistic at its very base."

It doesn't depend on the government. Creationism/ID on the other hand needs to have the government sneak it into the science classroom in an affirmative action program based on left-wing *diversity* ideology.

Interesting how the creationists (with their detailed historical knowledge) weren't lining up to correct me on that one.

The 'spin-state' of said historical facts have insufficient importance in their creationsist ideology to warrant memorization.

The sentence I highlighted in my first reply to you should answer your question.

I enjoy watching the Evo/Non-Evo arguments with popcorn but I dismiss any argument that uses the "intelligence" of a person or persons as a prop to validate one side of the debate. That argument style is usually employed by the evolutionists.

There's nothing superstitious about the biblical texts. They are a bright light that obliviates superstition and sets the reader on the right path to wisdom and understanding.

"Externally it will be exactly the same but we want it to do some serious scientific work and you would not want the crew living like they did in the 18th Century," he said.

Uh, shouldn't that read 19th Century?

You may want to take that up with the Institute for Creation Research, which seems to think that the theory of evolution is responsible for the rise of "Ruthless Laissez Faire Capitalism."

Darwin's Influence on Ruthless Laissez Faire Capitalism. That Darwin was certainly a sneaky guy. He had all the bases covered. He was not only responsible for Marx and Hitler, but for capitalism too. It's amazing what one can learn from creationists.

Thanks for ruining a potentially pleasant thread, about a modern square-rigged sailing ship, within the first few posts!!! You jump into a thread about a ship, and instantly begin to spout your vile lies. Do you constantly search for threads that mention Darwin, so you can pounce and ruin them? You should be ashamed - although I know you won't be.

What about the 200,000,000 people who've been killed by doctrines based on Darwins ideas? They gonna build any sort of a monument for them?

Thread hijack alert.

Please demonstrate that this claim is true.

A fluff story about the atheists' ark.

How enlightening.

At least this one is real.

He didn't say intelligence (or lack thereof). He said ignorance. And that appellation certainly applies.

The use of that type of argument is weak.

If I were a whaky Creationzoid/IDiac I wouldn't worry about this at all, since on its maiden voyage the ship will fall off the edge of the Earth anyways, because we all know the Earth is flat.

"What about the 200,000,000 people who've been killed by doctrines based on Darwins ideas?"

The doctrine's weren't based on Darwin's ideas. They were based on the con jobs of self centered tyrants. That's the commonality these doctrines have with the religiously flavored ones that were responsible for killing people. Darwin's ideas are true and they have nothing to do with killing folks.

" Logic and reason just doesn't seem to be in the cards for these folks."

Logical reasoning is required in order for Freedom to flourish. One more thing is required though and that's that the truth is the foundation and goal. Some folks aren't really interested in Freedom though. In others the reasoning has juat been hampered in some way.
