Is the shape of the building supposed to signify anything?

That sort of oblate pyramid thing is all that's visible from I95 above the trees.

I'm guessing it's a modern architect's way of expressing "flight" (a tribute to USMC Aviation?) ...

If you look at the statue of the flag raising at Iwo Jima, the museum resembles that,
but it also could represent a Marine holding his weapon for inspection, or Order Arms.
