"Doomsday" sounds a lot like the Samson Option. I think what he was getting at, was that if Tel Aviv is attacked, matters will escalate beyond control, at which point, Israel may have to invoke the Samson Option.
I'm unfamiliar with the "Sampson Option". Is it somewhat like our "shock and awe", i.e. overwhelming air, land, and sea power against the enemy?
