The reason Islam tends to such militance is that they only succeed in religion by force. Anyone with any intelligence knows its all bullsh-t, but you'd be surprised what a massive helping of cognitive dissidence does to suicidally hopeless people. But the notion that a leader would be willing to die is preposterous. Remember the cowards that the Iraqis all turned out to be? Did one soul fight for the principle of resistance?
