And the Mets lead it 8-3 in the 9tn. If this keeps up, the Braves would be only 4 out of the wild card.
Yep, now if the McKinney race would go our way. 25% reporting and she is 1000 votes behind. long way to go.
"Do I understand correctly that it takes at least 50% +1 vote to avoid a runoff?"
A run-off would be OK. McKinney's voters don't come back for run-offs.
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
Former Christian Coalition leader Ralph Reed conceded defeat about 9:55 p.m. in Georgias Republican primary for lieutenant governor.
With 43 percent of precincts reporting, election results showed Reed trailing by Sen. Casey Cagle (R-Gainesville) by 9 points.
The Georgia Secretary of States office showed Cagle with 55.2 percent of the vote, compared with 44.8 percent for Reed.
About a half-hour earlier, Cobb County GOP chairman Anthony-Scott Hobbs got word that Reed was losing Cobb County by 10 percentage points, 11,000 votes to 9,000 votes. You cant win without Cobb, he said.

The other surprise so far is that Cox is running even with Taylor in DeKalb county.
I hate to ask - but I'm a Pol Sci major.
In 2004, who'd you vote for in the GOP Senate primary...
Isakson
Collins
Cain
Reed was planning a big victory party at a fancy hotel in Buckhead tonight. Not much of a party, I guess.

I just checked the returns. Cynthianess is losing in DeKalb while Gwinnett and Rockdale haven't even counted a vote yet.
Here's the link to the county-by-county results.

I voted for Isakson. He was also my Congressman.
While I have no problem with the outcome, Casey Cagle ran too many negative ads, and it was overkill. I hope he isn't damaged in the runoff.
A lot of precincts in the Wallace stronghold of Montgomery have still to come in. I know they called it for Strange already, but this one may end up a lot closer than what it is now.
U.S. Representative, District 4
Democrat
27% of precincts reporting Votes Percentage
John F. Coyne, III 1,397 10.1%
Henry C. "Hank" Johnson, Jr. 6,761 48.8%
Cynthia McKinney 5,705 41.2%
Since she is losing in DeKalb so far and the fact that Gwinnett and Rockdale are much more anti CM there is a chance she could get beat. Plus, very liberal Decatur/Emory is fed up with her and all those professors and journalists can always abide her very liberal opponent.
North Shelby county decides Alabama now. No yellow dogs there.
I just ventured over to DUmpster and they are toasting each other about Reed's loss.
Poor moonbats don't realize they probably just toasted giving Georgia a Republican governship for the next 12 years minimum.
