Is anyone interested in the Alabama GOP runoff for Lieutenant Govenor?
If so:
Lieutenant Governor - - GOP Runoff
1988 of 2727 Precincts Reporting - 72.90%
Name Party Votes Pct
Strange, Luther GOP 78,514 54.20
Wallace, George GOP 66,354 45.80
Even with the few counted, Purdue is so far ahead it's embarrassing..........
I see that.
hard to understand why someone with such an iconic name (Wallace) could win either the primary or the run-off.
He must have ran a terrible campaign.
Bottom 6th, 2 out. 13-4 Braves. Hudson faltering.
My eight year old son told me he is so happy the election was today because he was so sick of the "Big Guy" and Cathy Cox commercials and the Cagle - Reed commercials. These commercials must be effective if an 8 year old knows the names of the candidates.
I had to break his heart by telling him that this was just the beginning of the commercials and it would go on until November.
I thought name recognition would help Wallace, but then 1968 was a very long time ago.
Please keep them coming.
Hey, do you know why Tom Price had a primary challenger up in the 4th District?
I looked around and couldn't find much info.
So far she's losing. Please god...............
I was rooting for Wallace. If he had won, it would have great symbolic value for southern Republicans.
He recently said, "There's not a dime's worth of difference between the national Democrats and Alabama Democrats."
By contrast, Luther Strange is just some wealthy lobbyist.
I doubt it will be that close.
13-5 Braves. Hudson is being clubbed like a baby seal. Cox on the way out. Hudson gone, relief coming on.
Very strange result (pun intended). I couldn't believe that Wallace didn't win in the first round, and it looks like he'll lose in the run-off. What counties are still out?
The turnout is abysmal. Around 22% in some districts. Folks if we don't get the voters out for mid terms it could be bad. People HAVE to vote or the dems will take over.

ALABAMA RUNOFF
Lieutenant Governor - - GOP Runoff
2105 of 2727 Precincts Reporting - 77.19%
Name Party Votes Pct
Strange, Luther GOP 84,474 55.15
Wallace, George GOP 68,696 44.85
IMHO, it's mainly because Luther Strange spent a mountain of his own money.
Cynthia "Jihad" McKinney is trailing?
Wow.
I'm in Price's 6th distrct. I didn't even know he had a challenger until I saw the guys name on the ballot. John Konop is running against Price on a platform of "correcting the economic direction Congress has taken our country."
http://www.johnkonop.com/
Price is ahead 80% - 20% with 36% reporting
Do I understand correctly that it takes at least 50% +1 vote to avoid a runoff?
